Q: What is Enlightenment & What is Transformation ?
Maitreya Dadashreeji:
"Enlightenment is a state that people have experienced in past. It is difficult to experience the same in current times. It is a spiritial state. It can be experienced at a physical plane. In this state you can see the difference between you and your mind in the physical plane, just like the physical distance between you and I. In this state you do not do anything, as you are simply witnessing "a person with a seperate mind". You witness everything that you do and see. Witnessing it as a ‘see-er’.
Example you go to watch a movie, you don’t change the hero/ the plot but just watch. Similar is enlightened state. Your mind does not stop but is differentiated and so it is simply watching everything however is unable to change the outer reality. Thoughts will always continue but you are separate from them.
Example of enlightened beings are Arjun or Ravana from the past.
Transformed state is different– this is mentioned in the vedas (ancient scriptures) as Amrit state (Nectar of Divine). In this state, you are flowing with your mind but you are purifying the mind while you are with it.
Example. in case of Ravana, Him being enlightened did not change his ambivalent mind. But Transformation would amount to his mind becoming like Lord Rama’s mind (A Divine mind). When you see your mind you see it as mixture of pure & impure. But you can see in Buddha’s case – His mind was completely pure, he was beyond enlightenment . He was in a Divine/ Amrit state.
Transformed mind is completely pure and we are working for this. People think this is not possible hence the path of enlightenment.
We would like to remind you, don’t be exasperated with your mind or try to run away from it. If your mind is transformed, entire creation will be transform. Today’s requirement is not enlightenment because problems cannot be solved through it, it is only through Transformation that the world will change.
When you sit here, the mind automatically transforms when the mind connects with the Divine within.
When the Divine & its positive energies within are awakened & flow into your mind, it will cause the mind to transform. Your mind will feel pure and your thoughts and actions will be likewise. Doing sadhana or meditating on a Divine form is also for purifying the mind. It is path to transformation. Practicing to be a seer (as opposed to I doing something) is practice for enlightenment.
When a realized master or Guru is there they can teach you this Truth. You or someone reading books you cannot get knowledge of the truth. When your experience is based on your personal internal state only then it is the Truth, not what you read & try to interpret. That is what we teach. You do not have to go anywhere or run away from your karmas. Even if you try to run away from it, it will come back to you sooner or later in some form. This has happened to great masters – they could not run from karmas. Even Gods incarnation had to go through this system. You can postpone but not avoid. It goes with your heartbeat-frequency. The best thing is to not try to escape karmic repercussions & face them as it is. The Divine is always with you!
